2. Make sure you have your (Maine) Medical Marijuana Card
In the state of Maine, patients must receive a medical marijuana card from a medical professional before purchasing cannabis from a Maine dispensary.
As of June 2019, visiting patients from some states no longer need to acquire a certification from a caregiver in order to purchase cannabis in Maine. How about recreational use?
In January 2020, Maine began accepting applications for recreational marijuana retailers, but recreational sales are still yet to happen in the state even after being approved by Maine voters in 2016.
